HaeYeon Lee

Postdoctoral Scholar

HaeYeon begun her postdoctoral research in August, 2021

She is currently studying vdW heterostructures and their optical properties.

She received her Ph.D. degree in the department of Materials Science and  Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2021. During her Ph.D. course, she studied on the effect of the interfaces in vdW heterostructures on their optical properties with prof. Silvia Gradecak and prof. Frances M. Ross. She was a recipient of Samsung Scholarship for her graduate studies at MIT.

Prior to this, she received her Master degree from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 2016 with dissertation of "Interfacial and bulk contributions to spin-orbit torque and magnetization switching in nonmagnet/ferromagnet structures."
